Trend to Love: Ear Jackets

So I don’t know if this counts as cheating, but I made a promise to myself this summer to try more statement earring looks. Now I bought my first pair of these earrings back in January only because they came in a set of really darling studs, which I love! Recently, I’ve just been really into them and I’m including them in my statement challenge!

I really like that they are a little something extra but not too over the top if you don’t normally rock the statement earring trend like yours truly! Most of my favorites I’ve found at ILY Couture and wear them all the time!

So it’s the new year and I already have my eyes set on some select items that sparkle + shine! Jewelry can make or break an outfit + it’s always a good idea to collect those pieces that will look great not only now, but down the road as well. Take Me Downtown!

I’m so excited! I’m lucky enough to have a photographer for a sister who just happens to love to do random photoshoots with me! Last month she wanted to take a few in Downtown Norfolk!  I’m so excited, because I finally got a few back and I love them!  It’s so fun to see how her style has changed over the past 6 years!  You all should definitely check her out at Katie Powers Photography!

Well more like arm candy of the day to be honest! It’s a rainy Thursday here in Southern Virginia, and these pieces are really brightening up my day! My obsession with Alex and Ani is still going strong. I love them combined with my favorite ILY Couture bracelet + Michael Kors watch!

It’s My Birthday!

……Well it was!  It’s a couple weeks late, but I had so much going on I forgot to write my birthday post!  I turned 23 on September 5th and it was definitely a full day of celebration!  Thank you to my better half, family, friends, and coworkers for all the love and gifts!  Let’s end this post with the wise words of Jessica Simpson, “I’m almost 23, which is almost 25, which is almost mid 20s…”
