Winter Stripes!

Winter has finally arrived here in Charlottesville and with that came a giant blizzard that kept me way from work for almost 3 days! And I must admit that during those wonderful snow days, I went into hibernation, which pretty much means I wore nothing but leggings and sweatshirts all day long! But now that I am back to work it is time to step up my game a bit!

I am definitely a dress girl, no doubt about it. They are so easy and comfortable, but for some reason when you wear a dress everyone thinks that means you have your life together, which is perfectly fine with me! However dresses in the winter can be pretty tricky since it is so cold and they don’t provide all that much layering!

I found the perfect little dress that gives you great shape, it is fun & flirty, but has a sweater material to keep you nice and warm all day! To be honest, I bought this dress, returned it, and bought it back because I loved it that much! The best news is that it is now on sale for under $100!

Easy Holiday Style!

The holidays are here and with them they bring parties, lots and lots of parties! And if you are like me, you need a staple piece that will work at the last minute. I’m happy to say that I have found the item that will relieve me from any sort of stress that comes with picking out an outfit for any type of holiday shindig ever!

This skirt is perfect for you petite ladies out there! With the long sheer overlay, it gives you coverage but doesn’t take away any length of your legs with is a major plus! It also goes with anything, I wore it with a striped J.Crew top with a jeweled collar, but you could wear it with a classic gingham or plaid shirt, chambray, or a cute graphic tee to add a little fun!

Holiday Gifts For Her!

It’s my favorite time of year! All of the decorations, smells, the music, everything. I just can’t get enough! The only thing I ever have an issue with is when someone asks me what I want for Christmas…. Like I’ve only been thinking about it all year but now all of a sudden, BLANK! Kimono Obsessed!

If you asked me 3 years ago, I would have said NO WAY to kimonos! It crazy, but I used to only like clothing that was fitted to my body and now the more flow it has, the more I like it!

What I’m loving about kimonos is that they come in all prints and can be the perfect amount of POP that your outfit needs. I also love them for the spring and summer time for when the weather is too warm for a cardigan but not warm enough to rock a tank top just yet!

In the past couple of months I’ve found some that I just can’t live without so I thought I would share some of my favorites with you all! And they are all pretty affordable! (Also they look great with leggings which is what matters most!)

April Palette!

FINALLY! We get to wear bright pastel colors without getting strange looks in public! It’s that perfect time of year where it’s warm outside yet you aren’t boiling at the same time. We only have about a month of this amazingness so don’t put it to waste! Today I am sharing some of my favorite pieces in my favorite colors for this season! So of course I had to do another look for less when it comes to this super casual but sleek look she rocked! OOTD!

I can’t be the only one over the “snow” already. In Virginia it isn’t even snow anymore, it’s completely frozen solid…(fun fact: I busted my butt straight on the snow and already have a bruise.) Well any who, today was the first day that I made my way out of the house and completely some errands which of course led me to Target. This has to be one of my favorite outfits. It is super comfy but still looks like I have my life together & haven’t been spending the past 4 days in bed watching Criminal Minds on Netflix!

A Bohemian Winter!

Recently, I have been really loving adding touches of bohemian chic to my wardrobe. Celebrities like Sienna Miller and Vanessa Hudgens have been rocking the boho look for years and know how to go all out or just have a slight boho vibe to their looks. I was recently on pinterest and found a photo of Sienna Miller looking so classic and cool that I had to try my own version of it!

I Heart You!

 Happy Love Day! What would a Valentine’s outfit be without some added hearts! I have been all about this top recently and I couldn’t think of a more perfect day to wear it! This is definitely a casual look that is still festive. I have also been really into doing more double dutch braid looks recently, so since this is a day dedicated to things we love, why not incorporate them in to my V-Day look!

Valentine’s Date Night!

The most romantic time of the year is quickly approaching, Valentines day! While it’s not my favorite holiday, I love an excuse to get dressed up and be surrounded with hearts and chocolate! Now I agree that Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to involve a lavish dinner combined with chocolate strawberries (however I wouldn’t be opposed to these!) and rose petals. However I do love dressing the part for this particular day! So to help y’all out, I’ve put together some perfect options for whatever kind of date night is planned, whether it’s a nice dinner, casual movie date, or a romantic night in, your attire will be on point! And I’ve chosen these items from my favorite shops that are super affordable for you ladies!

While it’s fun to go out and about with your loved one for Valentine’s Day, sometimes a cozy night in is all you need! But hey, you can still have some fun dressing up for your one and only! Here are some cozy cute options for you to wear for a homemade meal and desserts on the couch!

The key for this look is to just add little heart pieces somewhere on your outfit! I love my heart elbow patch shirt and you all did as well so I decided to share it with you all again here!
